About

Who I am?

I am James Blake-Lobb, a deputy headteacher working in West Sussex. Having spent 10 years in hospitality management I took the exciting decision to enter the teaching profession  and have loved (almost) every minute of it since.

This blog is meant to be a vehicle for me to share some experiences, ideas and resources with other teaching professionals. All comments and feedback is very welcome.

  1. Love Taskmaster, and loved your blog about Taskmaster week in your class. I loved doing fun projects with my classes, where they were set challenges and let loose to achieve them, mostly they rise to the challenge. I was very pleased to read about schools forming Taskmaster clubs, and how generous Alex Horne is being, I’m sure he must be thrilled that the niche TV programme is being taken up by ever inventive teachers! Well done, Sir.

  2. Hey Mr Blake-Lobb,

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, ideas and resources! I’m using the Taskmaster challenges for our end of term class party and appreciate you making it so much easier for me to organise.

    Cheers from NSW, Australia.
    Ash
